Surveillance Cams are easy to install right?
Ok, so I bought two types of IP Cams, two cams of each. Total of 4. Both should be easy to install. We live in 2018 right? Web servers are built in to every small thing we buy and they are simple UI but does the work well.
Well, thats what I thought. Heres the story of configuration hell
I bought 2 cams from eBay in Germany. The reason to split up the order was the expected deliverytime from China that according to Alibaba could take up to 60 days. So I split my shoping into two. eBay and aliexpress. eBay.se delivers whithin 5 days in Europe.

The delivery. Impressive. The pacage was delivered really fast.
Pacage: China standard plastic bags with lots of tape. Inner pacage as expeted.
Manual: Oh my god! Rubish. The English is worse than my 3 year old son talks and he is Swedish!

Configuration: Configuration can be done using a web interface. The manual showed Picture of a welcome page where language could be choosen. The actual page looked nearly the same, but whithout a choice of choosing English innstead of Chinese. Congratulation. I had to work with Chinese.
After some hell evenings with this Chinese web gui I found out that Szsinocam Manual also talks about a Mobile app. So I installed the CamHi. Its in English!!!
Unfortunately you cant do every settings in the mobile app but almost.
The devivery from AliExpress
From AliExpress I ordered a more excusive cam. 8MP. It can be ordered here : Aliexpress unitoptek 8MP Surveillance cam
The delivery could take up to 60 days for shiping China-Europe. The pacage was delivered after 30days. Time from arrival at the customs, pay vat, it took about 14 Days. I don´t know why.
The cam have a more premium case in metal.
The Pacage: Standard Chineese pacage with plastic bag with tons of tape. Inside Unitoptek use all Brown slimed pacage. No text at all on any of the sides of the pacage.
Manual: There is two manuals. Both in English. A Quick guide. Really rubish. It gives me no qlueue. Its full of Pictures and drawings of cams but not any of the actual cam. Really don´t see the Point giving customers this PDF.
The "real" manual is quite good. It could be followed. Som nasty things though. 1st. In every page header the following is showed.
Why are they using a PDF-creator thas is trial that writes this trial info on every page header? 2nd and worse. The information on how to connect to the cam is incorrect. It says that you should use URL 192.168.1.10. On that IP nothing answers. IP Conflict right? Checking the router but no client attached to that IP. Finally find it at 192.168.1.3
Now it´s getting nasty. The page says a plugin have to be installed. Hit tthe "get plugin" button. Webpage at xmsecu.com opens in the browser. Tries to download NewActive.exe
At this Point I have not got through this step. The downloaded NewActive cant be executed. No web configuration gui is presented. So No chanse at all to make use of the cam.
